I am new to this forum. I presently have a 2015 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport I purchased new last year. I enjoy it very much but was seriously thinking of buying a new 2013 Swing that has a price of $5,995.
I saw that Mech 1 twa had posted that a dealer in central P.A. Was selling one for $5,300 and only paying taxes with no other fees.
My questions is this a good price ($5,995) also should I only have to pay taxes and no freight charges?
Also, what do all of you think of your bikes?

Feed back please

Bob from Baltimore

Welcome to the forum.

I took the liberty of moving your post to Introductions.

I think that we all pretty much agree that we are quite fond of our Silverwings. I hope that you will find one to your liking too.

Tim

Hey there, Lobo104. I can't give you an opinion on the price of the 2013 SW. However, if you look through the posts in this forum you'll find plenty of the good, the good and the good stuff on this bike: as opposed to the good, the bad and the ugly.
Welcome to SWingland.
Jay.

Welcome!

As cotetoi above mentioned, the good stuff, etc, the Silverwing is a solid investment in my opinion.
Easy to do your own maintenance on and a rock solid engine that if taken care of, just goes and goes.
Seriously!

I have had 2 new SilverWings---current left over 2013--over 30,000 miles of use. With addition of GIVI adjustable Windshield and Givi rack and box they work out well.
As buyer of over 75 new machines over 61 years---get one from dealer nearest you. I think price of $6000 plus tax, etc fair.

Used can turn into money pits---many been modified by tackle box tech owners, rather expensive to fix/service....but used value of maxi scooters in US is very low as market is dead. so bargins are there.
As scooter/bike is prime transport for me, I prefer new==less hassle--I rather be riding than fixing.

That's about what I paid for my leftover 2012 in 2013. I felt I got a good deal. I wouldn't let having to pay freight charges keep me from buying a very reliable bike. I guess with big ticket items it's harder to have freight charges incorporated into the retail price. Further from distribution centered means higher freight charges for the dealer. Guess someone has to pay the freight.

And welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great information here about your (prospective) SWing. I sure like mine. I suspect you will like yours too!

Great price--and is what I paid for mine last August.  List ($9270) is way too much but $5995 was too good a price to pass up.  Really like mine but need to ride it more--just hitting 600 miles now. Rolling Eyes
