Hi, i just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Doug Smith and I live in Boerne Texas about 30 miles NW of San Antonio Texas.

I just bought a 2008 Grey Swing with a TowPac trike kit and it has  2,000 miles on the bike. I also have a Helix, 5 Gyro's, 3 Urbans, an Express II and a Cushman Highlander with a 13 HP Honda engine stuffed in it. I'm an old guy (76) so I moved down in size from my '05 Gold Wing but still love to ride the smaller bikes when my wife Kathy and I are RVing with our toy box. For day touring we plan to use the Swing Trike.

As I learn more about the Swing group I hope to find out about some rallies we can attend.  Hope to see ya ! !

Doug

Hi Dougkat, I can't imagine a Cushman Highlander with 13 HP. Mine was a 55' with 5 hp and would do 40mph. No front brake, a tail light bulb in a reflector for a headlight and (2) three inch springs for front suspension 40 was fast enough. Even so, it was memorable and in 1961 at 15 years old I was "mobile".

Now, after that preamble, welcome to the site! Enjoy the Swing trike. Stop in often as there is a wealth of information in here.   Smile

welcome Dougkat,

Was down in your area last September.  Nice country.

Some scooter rallies coming up you may be interested in.

The STO Rally, Eureka Springs, AR and the Maxiscoot rally in MO.
Both are in September, back to back weekends. Here are their web sites.

I have been to the STO Rally nice group of people.  Great roads to ride in the Ozarks.

Enjoy the Swing.

Cathy

Congrats on your SWing and welcome. We have quite a few members from Texas but you may also want to do a search for scooter or m/c's groups close to you as well.

Thanks Roger. I can never remember how to do that. Sometimes it works for me and then?
I don't post to many links and I forget how.
