V Belt age....how long

I just bought a 2002 Swing yesterday. 16k miles. Has original belt and runs great. I'm thinking a replacing is in store. What do you all think???

I believe 16k is the original belt replacement recommendation.

the belt is 13 years old. I'd say it's probably not in the best shape? I'll tear into it this weekend

I would replace the belt as soon as you can. If it is 13 years old I'm sure it is about shot and I know I would not trust it myself.

   I think you should definitely replace it after going to the introduction page and introducing yourself to the good people who were willing to help with your query.
