Drive Belt Empty
PostSubject: Drive Belt    Drive Belt I_icon_minitimeFri Jan 07, 2011 7:32 am

Hi

I am looking a drive belt supplier online. I had no luck with Ebay. I am from South Africa and no OEM belts are available or I have not found one yet : ) Can someone point a supplier out please. Dealers here sell them for $230.

Regards
AK

Take a look on ebay for italian dealers. Normally they will sell them for ~120€ but i have no idea how much the shipping and/or the tax will costs...
My German dealer for example also buys the drive belts in italy and sell them here in Germany for 120€ + shipping and the Hondadealer wants 165€

I don't know what the import duties will do to the price but, Matt at www.scootertrap.com is a SilverWing rider and they sell the belts - http://www.scootertrap.com/SilverWing600.htm#CVT_Belts . Although I did see they are currently out of stock. Send Matt an e-mail - he's a good guy you might ask him if he'd be able to help.

azizk,

Welcome to the forum! I know you need a drive belt, but let us know a little bit about you and the area where you ride.

After well over 200,000 miles on these rubber band drive scooters, I feel OEM is only way to go.

I had one break underway---Helix, carried spare can be changed at roadside. SilverWing more difficult.

I stay with Honda's recommend mile/km changes as I hate walking.
