4k miles on it showed very little wear, pretty sure the pins will last for more than 10k miles

I agree with Ron, you need to ride it harder so you can wear the pins down within 5,000 miles. That is good but you may want to open it up again in another 5,000 miles. Maybe my pins wore down after 9,000 miles since I was riding it harder than I do now.
