Title says it all. This weekend I decided to get out and ride in order to finally cross the 10,000 mile mark on my 2008 Silver Wing that I bought new in April 2008.

This moment has been delayed because of health problems, kids, work, and life. Now that the kids are adults and moving on with their lives, and I’m finally am able to make time to take care of myself, I am choosing to get out and do what I enjoy doing.

I’ve decided to work up to doing an IronButt and eventually a 1500 miler. But the ultimate goal is to ride coast to coast as my send off into early retirement next year.

Congratulations on the 10K milestone! I hit that 4 or 5 years ago and when I realized how close I was I pulled over and took a picture of the odometer at the 10K mark!!! Still have the pic but not sure where. My 2012 is at the 25K mark now. So ride on!
