KAPPA KAF214 windshield

Contacted Twisted Throttle about a KAPPA KAF 214 windshield for a Honda Silverwing. Price quoted to me was $227.70 with free shipping. Does this sound about right or have you found them at a lower cost elsewhere?

Cheaper from Italy even with shipping.

Didn't one or more members report issues with getting overseas-sourced windshields damaged in transit refunded or replaced? I've bought a Honda top case from Italy but did not contemplate at that time what would happen if there were issues.

That is one of the reasons I am looking for, and prefer a US vendor. So far Twisted Throttle is the only distributor I have found for this windshield, but I am still looking. So far have checked with Bike Bandit, Revzilla and Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse with no positive replies on the KAPPA windshield. Guess I will keep plugging away.

So, what GIVI model is the equivalent of the KAPPA KAF214?

I had an Isotta screen sent from Italy. On unpacking in Oz, I found that it was broken on two. Entirely due to hugely inadequate packing allowing the assy. to rattle around the cardboard box. Photos were taken immediately and relayed to the company. They agreed to send a replacement without argument. It did take a few weeks though.

Generally you will pay a price premium for Givi. The problem is finding Kappa products.

The price for the KAPPA is $227.70. Found the GIVI screen and it is the same price. Or, can get the non-adjustable screen for $100 less.

Just out of interest I've just looked on the website of the UK dealership I bought the Givi Airflow AF 214 for my Silver Wing over 6 years ago, it's currently £129.60 or $162.60.

A quick 'ratch' on eBay shows similar prices from other sellers give or take a few quid, there was the Kappa equivalent on sale too.

I bought a Givi screen from Italy and one from Germany. They arrived alright in Australia, but the packing was pathetically poor. When I saw the boxes and lack of suitable wrapping inside, I could not believe that they had survived.

My computer won't allow me access to the AF214 windshield install information that someone had posted and currently I can't even find it. To whomever had those instructions, could you please e-mail them to me as I am blocked from viewing on this site. I apologize for posting here but I didn't know where else to go.
