Kappa KAF214 from ebay

Has anyone ordered a Kappa AF214 from "garage1926" on ebay?  I ordered one on March 24th and paid thru paypal and i have not received it yet.  When i tried to check on it ebay said to wait until April 14th before going to resolution.  Anyone ever had this problem before?

Hi, Mike.

I ordered the shield from them about 3 weeks ago and they sent it to me by DHL. I got it in 2 or 3 days. What did the seller say?

I ordered mine on March 24th and I have heard nothing. If I don't have it by the 14th I plan on disputing the charge on my CC.

For all that it's worth; there was a post here awhile back where someone had ordered a Kappa from an Italian source where it took many weeks to arrive. Maybe it had been shipped on the spaghetti boat from Sicily. Lots of anxiety but eventually everything played out.

I fully expect that I'll end up with that 90-day shipping when I order my Kappa screen.

I ordered one from Italy and it took a couple of weeks before the seller dispatched it and I had to contact him to get him to get a move on. They promised they had sent it but DHL sent tracking details that showed they picked it up three days later from Milan. Then DHL lost it! I made a big fuss and threatened posting on several big biking forums if they didn't sort it out quickly. They got me a new Givi one within 3 dayselivered to my door!
I suggest contacting the seller and making a fuss if they don't get it sorted quickly!

e-mailed them and just got an answer. They were sorry and said they would ship it DHL Friday or Monday. CC was charged 3/24. We will see.

I just ordered the second one from them. Am planning to cut down the remaining ear on my broken Airflow and make it look nice, even and pretty so that I can try to sell it on Ebay.

Still have not received mine. Ordered it on 3/24. If i don't get it by next week i am going to cancel and ask paypal for a refund.

I went to check out the seller's reviews on Ebay and freaked out a bit for like an hour. He has 60 bad reviews just in a matter of one month. Something must have happened, because it was not like that before. And the funny part I got mine right before that month started. And now the seller is not responding to my e-mails either. Interestingly there is another seller from Italy that sells the same shield for about 10 bucks less. I asked the seller for refund if they cannot send it out next week.

If they've suddenly got a lot of bad feedback when they were fine up until a month ago it could be that they have been taken ill or are in hospital or something resulting in no orders being sent out and no communication.

I ordered a Kappa from MotoStorm.it.  Took a good thirty days to get to my front door. Well worth the hundred dollars savings.

   Reading back through the posts, I think the seller was "garage1926".  Maybe someone can post further information.

The seller was "garage1926" I just disputed the charge with my CC. It was charged to my card 3/24/2016.

Keep us informed please how you go with your charge back. Here in Australia Mastercard will not "charge back" under those circumstances. Only if you never authorised the charge in the first place will they claw back your money. If you authorised and the seller did not deliver, they basically say: it's a dispute between buyer and seller and they wash there hands of it. Unfortunately I found out the hard way and will now only pay by Paypal, or not at all.

I paid by paypal. I am going to them next.

It was the seller. It's unfortunate. I will have to wait for almost two weekes before I can request money-back, according to Ebay. Maybe he will ship by then.

My CC company just credited my account for the disputed amount. I also filed a complaint with e-bay (paypal) but the process takes longer. I contacted another seller in Italy and they charge 42 euros to ship to the US. I think that would be $50 to $55. Not sure what I will do now.

€42 is about $47, if you're paying that for shipping on top of the Italian Euro price for a Kappa it may be more cost effective to buy the Givi version from a US seller like Twisted Throttle.

I would remove the other side tab, sand the edges smooth. Get either heated grips and/or heated gloves. The tabs never kept my hands dry in a heavy rain storm. That's my 2¢.

There are a number of sellers from Italy that have them and they all charge shipping. Looked at a few and even including shipping the total is only about $150.

I've made two eBay purchases (top box and lock set) from the seller outlet_ricambi (Napoli, Italy) with good results.  Nice price and quick shipping. He has a listing for one of these screens--at current exchange rates about $155 including shipping.

It's on my watch list for a possible future purchase but so far the stock screen works well for me.
