Hello from Mason Texas

My name is David, and I just joined. I've been reading the forum for several months, but was waiting to see what scooter I bought to register. Monday I bought a 2004 Silverwing with Givi 48 liter box and tall after market windshield, with only 3100 miles on it. I am 64, and haven't ridden since college, so was looking for a 250 cc class scooter, but found a good deal on the Silverwing instead. Looking forward to all I can learn from the forum members.

David welcome to the best Silverwing forum on the web. I'd use care at first with your "new" scooter the Silverwing has a lot of power and it's not light but it's a fine scooter. It sounds like you found a good deal with that low mileage.
If you are looking forward to learning and plan on doing your own maintenance you'll find you can do anything you need or want with the service manual and help from this forum.

Welcome! Surprising even at nearly 600 cc I don't expect you to have problems with the SWing. The weight of the scooter helps counter any power problems and the brakes are very good. Ride on!
