| This may have been covered but I'm not sure what the search topic would be so I'll just put this up. I was surprised at how much rain and road grime came through the vent at the base of the windshield and how dirty the dash was yesterday when I cleaned up the scoot. A fellow on another scooter site posted this quick cheap fix and I thought it was very slick. He uses a piece of foam pipe insulation to plug it. It stores easy and I think it would work great. ![Rain on Dash Bikin210](https://i.servimg.com/u/f43/17/13/76/92/bikin210.jpg) |

| Mostly I get bug parts up the vent. Does the foam allow enough air to get by so the windshield doesn't flex alot much at speed? |

| I haven't tried it yet but if I'm using it for the rain I likely won't be going that fast. |

| Try blocking the vent up and see what difference it makes. I wouldn't have thought that the designers at Honda didn't put a vent there just to make the front end look pretty.

| I like the pipe insulation idea... Only use when necessary AND I have some laying around!!! Great idea. |

| I believe the vent is there for eliminating back pressure.
