for Meldrew--- I did order some "Sidevisors" from Suzuki today. On my SilverWing I had in addition to Baker Air Wings, homemade plastic (garden material) deflectors, screwed on. Advice on Baker=they work and are ugly and their standard mounting is Mickey Mouse at best---4 6mm bolts, with big fender washer put in from inside plastic make their mounting sturdy, I got bolted up, topped off with chrome Acorn nuts from junk box. For me their purpose was keep air off knees, stop pants flapping and maybe reduce air being blown up nose-------any bike that needs this aftermarket/home made stuff to function (for serious riders) is poorly designed----just like stepped passenger seats!

John,

Japanese 12 volt plugs are a different design to the ones used in the West, they are shorter and the lead comes out of the side.

Check out this link on BurgmanUSA site. See the picture posted by Pict. This plug fits and you can close the flap.

Regardless, wire has to come out the door. I do not mind punching holes in things to get them to work.

Thanks.

John,

No need to punch a hole in the door, direct the wiring so that it comes out near one of the top corners. Door will still shut with some thin wires sticking out.

Cheers,

While I do know that Mr. Grinsel has never made a mistake in his life - it seems he has once again started a thread in the wrong place. I'm pretty sure this "Scooter Comparison" has very little to do with Tips on using this site. But, I'm sure John didn't make the mistake, someone edited his original post...
