| Recently bought a 2002 Silverwing in, coincidentally, silver. Been riding lots of different bikes for years - mostly BMWs. Temporary (hopefully) health problem caused me to consider a maxi-scooter - never having ridden one!
After much research I decided to go for a Silverwing. I wanted power for touring and weight was a deciding factor with other scooters like the Burgman 650 monstrously heavy. Found one that had done 23000 miles and in good condition. It came with heated grips and a cheap but useable top box.
Absolutely love it!! A pleasure to ride - comfortable, easily manageable and quick.
Since purchase I’ve installed a Givi Airflow Screen and an external power socket at the front to power phone/gps.
I live near the East coast of England in a rural area with lots of great roads for riding. |

| Welcome from a former Silver Wing owner in Louth! Great forum for advice and tips.
I always went to LMT on the Fairfield estate if I had any problems with my Wing, (not mechanically minded, only bicycles!) They are very helpful and reasonable pricewise. |

Keep your other bikes if you can, but I expect you'll find yourself using the SW most and wondering why you never tried one before.
Mine has become the goto bike for most things. |
