| I can't say for sure whether the exhausts are compatible but you might want to check the laws on 02 Sensors. An MOT station might be expecting to find a sensor. The wiring would still be there but no sensor. Just a thought...
I'm sure somebody here will know whether the exhaust will fit OK. |

| My 2002-2004 parts catalogue has two numbers but there is no sign of a sensor in the diagram.
18310-MCT-010
18310-MCT-950
Try going David Silver Spares website and put the numbers in. The description may say which is which and if it's relevant to your SW?

| I think a bigger issue will be the bike's behaviour if the O2 sensor is not reinstated in the exhaust. The ECU is using this to adjust the fuel injection. Not sure about the Swing but it is not uncommon on motorcycles fitted with performance exhausts to eliminate that sensor, and in that case a widget is plugged into the loom in its place to avoid fault codes being generated. The widget normally just contains a suitable resistor to mimic the O2 sensor.
It would not be a big job for a muffler repair business to weld on a socket so you can refit the O2 sensor onto the 04 exhaust. |

| 2008 onwards Silver Wings are fitted with an O2 sensor in the exhaust, the earlier and less fuel efficient FJS models just a bog standard exhaust. |

Don't cut old exhaust, just buy a O/2 bung and drill, weld it in a much cleaner install. Something like this and not expensive ![Need info on Exhaust Bung10](https://i.servimg.com/u/f51/20/33/45/83/bung10.jpg) Sell Delkevic and make a few bucks. Bike will run fine with no O/2 but check engine light will be on forever. Honda PGMFI will still function but I'm sure fuel mileage will be lower. |
