Afternoon,

mrseanharford1 here in s. florida, I have a SW 2008 600cc I'm changing out the clutch pads & rollers. I'm going to use Dr. Pulley sliders 26g is that the right weight for 600cc? not looking for speed.

Regards mrseanharford1

Wow, you've hit on a long debated and unresolved topic here. I'm sure if you do a search in the box above you'll find many pros and cons of using different rollers and/or sliders.

Personally, I tried Dr Pulley 26g Siders and although it took a couple of years for me to notice, my SW wasn't quite right. They were OK at first but then varying rpm/speed differences and 'V' light coming on; particularly as the sliders got older.

I've gone back to OEM 28g and the bike feels great. Everything behaving as it should. It just 'feels' right.

Dr Pulley 26g sliders will be fine for your SW. You can learn more about this controversial topic on this forum...and I know...I did it after much reading! study

I'm with Loosemarbles on this, although I went 25gm.
The bike accelerated with much more enthusiasm because it's usually reving higher so is further up the torque curve.
Eventually I got sick of seeing the V light coming on and the higher fuel consumption so have reverted back to 28gm rollers. The V light comes on because the ECU has hissy fit when the revs are higher than it expects, and the fuel consumption increase because if I can accelerate faster I will.
