| Me too, I've had too many 'vrum, vrum, crump, aaagh, thud' experiences in the past. |

| I used to use those in the pitot tube on several of the airplanes I've owned. In the Arctic you really need one to prevent losing the airspeed gauge due to ice in the pipe. In very wet areas such as Southeastern Alaska one still needs on to keep rain water out of the pitot otherwise the airspeed gauge kinda gets weird.
If you need one here are a couple. Might look classy on a bike if you have an airspeed gauge. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/nelsonproducts10.php |

| It would see that pitot tubes are a favourite nesting place for bugs so the sales of the cover should increase! |

| Don't get me started on pitot tubes!
They are a fundamental part of flight safety. Frozen or damaged pitot tubes have brought down many aeroplanes over decades.
I wouldn't mind a 'drift indicator' on my SW though....displayed by HUD onto my screen. Cool or what? |

| There's an 'Air Crash Investigation' TV programme episode about a crash caused by wasps nesting in a pitot tube.
