New Member From Louisiana

[img][/img]Hi I'm a new member from Leonville. Louisiana. I just aquired my 2008 SilverWing 3 weeks ago. The day I purchased it I was not shopping for one.
I had been trying to sell my 1999 Honda Valkyrie Tourer That was bought new in 2001. The Valkyrie was the best motorcycle I have ever owned out of 19 bikes. I was with a friend who rides an Aprilla Pacifica when we stopped by a local motorcycle shop to look at a used 2004 Aprilla with factory luggage and top box. Dealer asked if I was interested and I said I had to sell my bike before we could talk. Asked how much I wanted for mine, I told him $8000. He told me I could have the Aprilla and check for $3500 or a 2008 Silver Wing with only 4800 moles on it and check for $2000.
Took both scooters for a long 30 mile ride and the Wing won hands down. I can't get over the power this machine has. And it is so easy to just jump on and take off. So far I have put over 500 miles in 3 weeks and love it.

zerangue... I see you live near Baton Rouge. Congrats to the Tigers!!! What a team. I don't really like baseball, but, wow, that was an exciting world series. My wife and I both watched every game.
You and I have a few things in common: Leonville is a small town (Rison population 1271), you are close in age, (I am turning 65 in a few weeks), God blessed us by introducing us to a really cool machine.

Thank's for the warm welcome. I'm sure I will have lots of questions to ask in the near future. Like learning how to post pictures, what brand tires, generic oil filter number and brand. So far even with my aggresive driving I'm averaging 57 mpg. Which I find awsome.
