| Purchased a new 2010 Silverwing 600 last fall and it's great! Hope I don't experience some of the issues I've read about in this forum. Have 2000 miles on it so far. Ordered the Givi E55 topcase yesterday. That oughta help with storage! Having owned several cruiser and touring bikes, I am surprised at the Swing's performance. I blast down the interstate faster than I did on the "big" bikes. Looking forward to many miles of scootin' fun.

| Hey Gar, My wife and I spent a night, scared half to death by the lightning and thunder during a storm in a motel in Natchitoches. We were returning from Key West on our TX750 Yamaha (this was in 1975). The local TV said that it rained 9.5 inches that night. Bear in mind, I was born and raised in the semi-desert of Colorado, so 9.5 inches of rain was about 7 months of our weather in one night. Welcome to the forum. Jon |

| GAR from Natchitoches (Nak-uh-tish), LA. For those who get the two towns confused, it's 120 highway miles East of Nacogdoches, TX. Glad to see all the replys. If I'm all over this forum it's because I don't know what I'm doing. Learning as I go. This is my 2010 scoot and UPS says my GIVI E55 topcase will arrive tomorrow. |

| I'll lower the tone here and go for the town of Wankum, in North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. I've passed the sign on the autobahn quite a few times on my way from the Netherlands into Germany, and can't help sniggering as I ride past! |

| Gar...I'm somewhat familiar with your neck of the woods. My Mom was from Zwolle (famous for the best dang tamales you ever flapped a lip on) and my Dad was from Hornbeck. Us kids still maintain their house in Hornbeck. Every year at Christmas we used to go to Natch for the lights and some of the meat pies that are the best in the world. Man, I miss those days.
Hope to be in that area soon.
Ride safe

| Good to hear from someone familiar with the area. You're right about the Zwolle tamales. Still the best. Occasionally, I ride around the Toledo Bend area. Good pavement going up to Shreveport. As you know, most of our roads are pitiful. If you haven't been to Natchitoches in the last few years, the Christmas Festival has grown. Fireworks on the river take place 5 weekends in a row from November thru December. And yes, it seems like meat pies are served everywhere! Post a note if you're heading this way....Gar |

| Just received and installed a Backoff tail light from Custom Dynamics. (Top lights came with the Givi). Middle bar is 21 LED sequential running and pulsing brake lights. Nice attention getter at night. Since it is not DOT approved, I wired an on/off switch. Now with the DennisB driving light arrangement and triple tree brake lights I feel much safer in traffic. Happy scootin' Gar |
