Greetings swingers.

Last week I got curious and remove the belt and clutch.
I cleaned up dead belt debris.
The clutch pads were a bit glazed. 180 grit sandpaper deglazed easliy.
Also took some glaze and roughness off the outer clutch.
Blew crap of anything that needed it.
Re-assembled to proper torques. All went well. Easy job.

But now when I run the engine on the center stand to warm up, the back wheel rotates.

I can stop it easily with my hand. But it will start again
when I let go. The idle is set for 1300rpm.

Do I have a problem? or is this normal.

Everything else about the sw seems normal.

From my experience it's not unusual, some do and some don't. Don't forget the idle is usually a bit quicker if you've only just started it and the engine is cold.
It seems to be the same with lots of different scooters. My Silverwing does it sometimes if not warmed up.
My PCX will also do it.

I think that, so long as you can easily stop it with your hand, then you're ok and it's fine.

Interesting information. Being a new Swing owner that is one of the things I wondered about. Now I know. Thanks Reg and Cookie for answering that question before I could ask! Smile
