| 2009 HSW 600.
OK; I hope you all are done laughing. In my very weak defense I'm old and don't see too well up close. The pole indicators being on the outside of the cover didn't help.
I tried to start it and (obviously) nothing. There was a clicking noise under the instrument panel that sounded wrong (duh!) so I unhooked the battery. Now it is in correct, but still nothing.
What have I probably done to the bike, to say nothing of my pride.
Thanks. |

| It would be courteous if first you went to the Introduction section and, ahem, introduced yourself to the forum.
You probably blew the 30amp main fuse.

| Sorry about the missing introduction. Thought I did that when I signed up a few months ago. Will do now. And thanks for the info on getting to the main fuse.

| 2 yrs ago I did the same mistake and blew the fuse in the coil.To see the fuse remove the coil dust cover. The fuse is there ( hard to see ) |

Your post, though well intended, is misleading. As far as I am aware there is no "fuse in the coil". The coil is located on the right side beneath the floor step. There is no dust cover on the coil. Perhaps you are referring to the fuse near the starter solenoid or relays which are located on the left side as Dennis' photos & post (above) show. Using the correct terminology lessens the confusion. Tim |

Thanks. Call yourself several rude names. Have a beer. Then check the fuses. And good luck :-) |
