Does anyone know what the 6mm screw, that is on the top of the handlebar cover, screws into? I was thinking of getting a longer screw so I can put on a RAM bolt head base. It appears that the screw should be shouldered but I couldn't see what it screwed into without doing some disassembly and the parts diagrams doesn't give much more of a clue.

If you are referring to the two screws on top of the cover they are adequate for mounting. I think you may find these unique. You will also find some information on just a bracket in this forum. Howard

You can use M6 Coupling Nuts as risers and either a longish M6 bolt or M6 all-thread to fabricate a mount. Ace Hardware seems to have a decent selection of metric hardware.

Thanks for the info. I did see the info on the bracket but the RAM mount is all I should need, will just have to put a small spacer under it to raise it above the plastic. I have a marine supply store locally so was planning on stopping in there to get some stainless bolts.
