I went Saturday, 8-15-15, to Huston, MN for a camping weekend with the Dry Riders. I didn't ride but wanted to check out my "new to me" slide in 87 Skamper pickup camper popup. It worked great!

When I pulled in and parked I learned that some went on a ride and two got into an accident. They were riding in a group down a two lane road. One woman hit some sand that had come out from a side road and lost control and went down. The woman behind her tried to avoid it and lost control on sand also. First woman has three cracked ribs and lots of road rash. The second woman has 6 broken ribs with one possibly puncturing a lung.

Woman with 3 cracked ribs has been released and is home recovering. The other woman I haven't heard yet as to how she's doing although I know she's still in the hospital.

Both women are experienced riders with years on two wheels. The group was out on a nice sunny day ride to see the countryside and enjoy a ride. The side roads in that area are dirt/sand type roads. Traffic naturally drags some dirt onto the highway over time along with rain runoff. The accident happened in a curve and nobody saw it or had much of a chance to avoid it. It goes to show that ANYBODY can have an accident so be careful out there.

Prayers are much needed for both women.

Thanks in advance.

:Angel Flying: :Angel Flying: Prayers sent, but may have already been answered in that no other traffic was involved.
