I think my 2008 SWing doesn't have anti-lock brakes. I just looked in the manual at the dash lights and #15, which is supposed to be the anti-lock brake light, doesn't have anything in that socket except for a black spot where the light should be. So, evidently the 2008 came both ways. I guess I'll have to remember that when I'm riding on icy roads. Who am I kidding? I don't ride in bad weather. Although, I might get caught in a rain storm once in a while. This is the very first bike I've ever owned with anti-lock brakes that doesn't have them. Oh Well. I've never had a bike with them before so I guess I won't miss them.

Hi Dale N I would just take your winscreen / headlight cover off and look down in front off the speedo assembly and make sure there is no ABS pump assembly first. The reason is, a while ago I bought a car with supposably no ABS (and also the warning lamp appeared empty) but when it came to its annual MOT test it failed due to the ABS not working. Some little toerag had had a fault on the system and so in order to sell the car he had blacked out the warning light and said the system was not fitted. It ended up costing me a new ABS pump, and also do to him using some sort of paint that had attacked the dash panel a replacement dash panel. Not a happy bunny! But I suppose better safe than sorry Denzil

Dale look at the parts diagram at #7, it's the ABS ring and it mounts inside the brake disk. If you don't have ABS you won't have the slotted ring in the center of the wheels. Here's the pulser ring.
