Just sold my Piaggio X9 with 44,000 kilometers and got a 2008 Silver Wing with 4,000 kilometers. Hoping to put some k's on it this summer.

rstewart250 welcome to the best Silverwing forum on the web. That's reasonably low mileage. I'd keep an eye on the tires for signs of dry rot or cracking from age. I have an 07 and an08 both with the original tires and they still look fine but both scooters were garage kept. Within a few thousand miles I'll need new tires on the 07, but I've only got a little over a thousand miles on the 08.

If you plan on doing your own maintenance you'll find you can do anything you need or want with the service manual and help from this forum.

Howdy Stewert and welcome. Sounds like you like to ride and not merely maintain a garage queen. My truck got wrecked recently as my SW now is my only transportation. Wife uses her CRV for work. Riding everyday, rain or shine and mostly rain though. These are great little bikes. You'll love yours too.
