| i hadnt been on the forum for the past 3 - 4 weeks i found the bike in the photo and just thought i'd share it - now after reading thru some the recent posts it does appear to solve 2 of the problems bigtrain was having - seat back and ability to haul 'stuff' including his golf clubs....
my view is to each his own (although for safety, i would hope this would not be allowed on public roads in the US or anywhere) - i'm looking forward to John G and Mildrew comments.
i wouldnt want to spend $700 for a new custom seat..... |

| Actually that car seat "mod" is a common start for the high mileage, feet forward guys. Quite a few of them started out using Honda Helixes (Helii?) and then modified the body tail for aerodynamics, etc |

| If I ever get another Silverwing, I will remember this picture. Probably wouldn't cost more than a grand to remove the bodywork from the back of the front seat forward and mold some fiberglass to create a finished look, then another grand to have custom seats made, like a king and queen setup.
I would lose half the underseat storage space, but with the addition of the top box I'm fine for daily stuff and I can always add saddlebags for long trips.
Could probably lower the front seat height by 4-6 inches this way. Saves the cost of needing a taller windscreen too, at least for the driver.

| I'm sure it's ultra comfortable, being a Honda Civic seat, but it just looks........ ridiculous. The joker riding it doesn't even have his helmet strap secured. Might as well not even be wearing a helmet. |

| 2002 with 47,000 miles on it for $3700, I can't see it selling to fast. bigbird know someone who had a low speed wreck wearing his helmet like that and he broke his collarbone. He found out he would have been safer with no helmet at all. |
