No S-wings

I just bought a new 2012 Black Swing; only because I saw one many years ago. I couldn't find a dealer in N. Iowa that had one so ordered un-seen. 7 or 8 years ago I saw a yellow (if I remember right) one. I don't understand why they never became popular in this area. My dealer said he might order "one" a year; only if it's sold; I think he was exaggerating. I think I'll start a one man club.

Congratulations on the new ride! Most of the small to medium size dealers order only 1-2 scooters at a time. Just not enough turnover. Bigger dealers may have a few as they have more inventory and better turnover. My 2012 was the ONLY Silver Wing at my dealer, not sure if he got in another after I bought it... He usually keeps a couple Metropolitan s and 150's about.

Must not have been enough swing demand in Canada as well. They were no longer sold after 2009/10 if im not mistaken! Im thinking its a globally dying breed  .

I bought a new 2012 a month ago for $3000 under MSRP. The dealer told me that he didn't think there would be a 2013 model.

Ah but there was! It appears tho that there might not be a 2014.

Here in Santa Barbara Cal, there are never any new S/W in stock and not with-in 50 miles. When I ask why the answer is (we can order one)

This year you can have any color you want as long as it is black. OK Ford.

Actually John, I don't believe there has been anything but black Silver Wings since 2011.  2009 had a maroon model but not sure
about 2010.

NOTE: I just checked and Honda made the 2010 in Candy Red only, here in the US, not sure about over the "pond".

Honda must have got a good deal on BLACK paint...    

Why would someone want a motorcycle other than black? Everyone knows its the fastest colour!

I have seen a couple of early non ABS Silver Wings in a plain maroon colour, but for years now Honda UK has only offered us Delta Blue, Pure Black, and Digital Silver Metallic. There's not that much more choice with the SW-T versions, I took a couple of photo's in Milan last year of a Silver Wing SWT-600 in a really nice Burgundy metallic paint, but this year it's only available in Sword Silver Metallic, Pearl Cosmic Black, and Titanium Metallic.
