Well some one is still looking down on me for some known reason, again.
As most of you know the morning started off with my scooter not wanting to start.
(bad juju, bikema)
After breakfast I returned and the charger had done its thing.
Off I went, hoping to arrive in Lafayette still before traffic.
I had just passed Paso Robles 30 miles North and almost exactly where two years before, my scooter had to be towed because of a relay.
Only this time I was cruising along at 80 mph and in 100 degree heat, when all of a sudden my windshield completely broke off in one piece, and smashing into my helmet leaving me with nothing more than a stub. I am sure it was caused by me cutting into the windshield and instilling the five way vent.
Well they told me at Clearview that 95 percent of the time what I wanted to achieve was not possible and they were right.
There was minor ding in the helmet and a large hole in my ego. Live and learn I guess.
I drove home and all is well. :lol!:

Is the stub you have left big enough to still be able to mount your helmet on. I hope no branes leaked out of the stub. affraid
All kidding aside I'm glad to hear you are Ok.  Windshields can be replaced you only have one head. You knew going into it that it was a long shot. I think I remember you discussed what windshield to get but I don't remember your likes or wants. I have the Givi Airflow and would recommend it to anyone that asked. I also know you didn't ask. Embarassed

Glad you are all right and well done for posting (some wouldn't).

It would be a good idea to update your original topic just to warn others off in case they read it and do the same Wink

Thank you Darth.
I have one of my older Givi's I will install until I get a response back from ClearView on if they have any in my size that are factory blems or with a minor scratch that I can buy.
