82 Gl500 tranny issues

Hey all. New to the forum and I'm hoping I can find a little help.
I have a 1982 GL500a with some real transmission issues.
I can shift it into gear (all 5) with clutch in, I feel it go in, both with foot and I can feel the bike lurch a little forward. But once I let out the clutch, nothing. No stall, no forward movement. Nothing. I can rev it as high as I want and it ain't moving. Back wheel off the ground and it spins, even with clutch in but not in neutral.
Thoughts? Could this be a semi simple clutch issue or as much as a.main shaft issue?
Someone help. It's my only form of transportation. Rain, snow or sun I mess this thing running.

Hello mate, as my learned friend above said, this is a forum for the Silver Wing scooter not the bike, but you're not the first with a GL 500 Silver Wing to come on here. Maybe one of the other Silver Wing bike owners will read your post and be able to help you with your problems.
