The stated capacity of the Silverwing is 366 lbs. Does anyone else carry more than that? Is this just a limit for the purposes of liability on the part of Honda? The missis and I have... let's say... had our clothes shrink in the closet over the winter Smile ... and now exceed the capacity. We're at around 390 between us, what do you think?

I thought about that issue myself , but so far I haven't convinced
my wife to go on a ride since I bought my Wing in December.

She's still holding a grudge over a trip we took up to Ottawa on
my CB550k years ago

I think the engineers play it on the safe side and allow a margin

I don't think 30lbs should cause any trouble as long as you have
good properly inflated tires.

There were reports a few years ago on the Yahoo Boards of couples with a combined weight of around 500lbs including gear doing two-up touring on the bike for weeks at a time.

30lbs over is not going to be a problem for this bike.

Stick with makers recommended.

Overload danger is probably rear tire, most over worked....but other factors, too, bike will handle like crap

Need high capacity get different bike----funny, not many have great carry capacity. Vespa scooter used to have one of the greatest carry capacity, along with HD

If you have every experienced high speed get off, or tire failure---they are frightening and dangerous/expensive.

Damn, now I gotta take that extra change out of my pocket! Laughing I would be sure to check proper inflation of tires and shock settings.
