Hi one and all,

I'm a keen SW owner based in Yorkshire, UK. I'm always doing something that involves a bike weither it be a track day or a sunday morning blast. My other main bike is an MV Brutale. I also have a ZX6 track bike and a Serco 250 trails bike. I was putting to many miles on the MV and wanted a big scooter to tourer. I've been on numerous trips to France and the rest of Europe. Next year I'm planning a trip to the Isle of Man to see the TT. I work in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry and have done so for about the last 20 years.

I was surprised by the SilverWing, its just so good and what its made for. Loads of underseat storage, great in town but with enough power for faster routes. I've had to spend a lot of time repairing my older 2001 model (accident damaged) before I could ride it and was really pleased when it turned out to be so easy and good fun to ride.

Welcome to the forum. IOM great place for biking but you will know when you aren't on the TT circuit, the roads are as bumpy as hell.
I did two weeks in France on my Silverwing in June, along with a mate on his Honda CBF1000. Really comfortable to ride on those long days and also great for those twisties in the Auvergne etc. Go on GoogleEarth and have a butchers at the road from Murat, Dienne, Lavigerie up to Puy Mary. Then there is the Tarn Gorge and the Millau Bridge.

Yorkshire, one of the nicest parts of Lancashire!

Cheers
