That's how mine is set up too. What I don't like is having to sandwich the cables coming out of the glovebox as I run a line to my GPS, one to my helmet, and another to my phone on my belt. Wish there was a way to have them all come out without being pressed on when I close the lid to lock it...

Nice... but I have about 3 different things with a whole bunch of different cable lengths plugged in, so I usually prefer to keep everything hidden inside the cubby... Rain never gets in there and I've been in some pretty crazy downpours and storms! I'm just worried about the cables being pinched -- I'm also worried that if I notch the cubby lid, that I'll lose the waterproofing... UNLESS I can figure out a way to make a rubber gasket of sorts...

Have you considered a hole through the side of the pocket and running the wires through a grommet then up alongside the wiring harness up to the handle bars. I have ran a wire from the battery up to the center of the handlebars for my 2meter transceiver as well as the coax for the antenna.Make sure and use fuses however you you run your wires, depending on what your running you might want to use relays as well. Also used tubeing for protecting wires.

How did you run that wire from your battery? sounds like a ton of tupperware to take off?

My thought was to run the wiring through the backside of the glove box, then up through the steering/handlebar area. Have not done this yet.

BTW, running the wire from the battery to the glove box was simple, I did not have to remove any body panels. I used small wooded dolls rods to fish the wiring through the body work.

HI, What I've been doing is running the wiring through the left foot rest (floor board)support tube and no tupperware removal is needed. Easy to do!

I went the hard way just to learn how, I pulled the Tupperware off and ran four extra wires all labeled so I could know what I was working with in the future with enough coiled up at each end to run them where ever I might need or want. I also ran a ground wire with terminal block at front for future connections.Added a relay switched with the key and additional fuses same two bladed as original(picked up holder at Tractor Supply) I think I have enough extra wires for any future add-ons. If not it won't be that hard to use one of the ones I added to pull some extra ones.

Crahar, that's how I am doing mine. I will have 2 hot all the time and 2 switched on relays. I will have only 1 spare. All my fuses are in the same location as OEMS.
