Adapter for car disc, for Honda Silver Ving Scooter.

At us in Russia on a forum the person does an adapter for a car disk, for Honda Silver Wing of Scooter. There are versions with ABS without ABS.
The wheel of the car with the adapter is 9 kg, the wheel from the scooter is 5 kg. He sells these adapters.

Wow! That is very unique. What size wheel and tire does the adapter fit? From what brand car?

Might warn on this----car rims have different beads----so using scooter tires might be problem. There is SAE paper on this, which I can no longer find...but I understand doing this where no bike parts cannot be found or obtained.

Very nice. $ price VS   SW wheel is it cheaper or better?

Darksider tire maybe? Car tire.

Bead on car tire is larger than a motorcycle rim. Some say it isn't fully seated but a few use them with no problems.  Motorcycle tire on a car rim would be better.

Could give more tire options- sizes. 14-15 maybe with the right wheel. I feel the best would be radial tires but can't find a match for the front in a radial.

SW follows every groove in road surface. Bias tire. Its been discussed here before but no options for tires this size.

Thank you. All right, these wheels for the car tire will be better, the scooter's tire can fly off on a turn from the drive.

The car disk in our stores is worth, 14 Dollar sold in any store.
The cost of the adapter kit with ABS - 266 Dollar, without ABS -177 Dollar

Since this is a 13" wheel, is the reason for this adapter for "performance" or longevity by adding a larger tire at the rear;  or to fit a scooter tire to the Avtovaz wheel; or because of a difficulty or high expense of an actual Silverwing replacement rear wheel?

Do you know what the cost to mail an adapter to the USA?

Tim hello. I can find out at the post office how much it will cost to send the adapter to Philadelphia, and find out from the seller is available or not. To you what is adaptive with ABS or without ABS.
The adapter is bought mainly on motorcycle tourists. Roads in Russia are not very good, many pits. The scooter's disc if broken, then in Russia it can not be bought, and a drive from AvtoVAZ can be purchased at any store or on the dismantling of cars, it's not expensive.

The result is a pit on the road.

That is nasty damage to the wheel. You must have some huge pot holes there. But I suppose too that "everything is bigger in Russia"

It is good that you have such a talented machinist available to help work around such a crisis and the lack of available spare parts.

I think that the shipping cost for either the ABS or non-ABS adapter will be the same. The question is how much that cost will be and whether your man is able to ship it to the US.

Also I am trying to find a commonly available 13" wheel here in the west which has the 4-98 bolt pattern. We sure dont have any AvtoVaz / Lada cars in these parts.

I don't know if I understood correctly, but are adapters available for front wheels in ABS and non-ABS as well?

I would like to have this information available for other Silverwing users if they would need it.

Try looking at Fiat & Alfa Romeo rims Tim

I agree 4x98 is not a common wheel bolt size. 4x100 is much more common on many Honda auto wheels. Another thing is the hub size. Hole in center of wheel it must be exact or its only centered on wheel studs not ideal.

Another issue is wheel back spacing. 13" wheels are long gone over here. Maybe the last I remember was early 90's Honda Civics base models DX.

Adapter only for the rear wheel.
The cost of sending to Philadelphia $ 80, you need the exact address.
I can send a disk from AvtoVAZ by mail. A disc in one package, an adapter in another parcel..
