First topic message reminder :

I have been looking for a Trailer for quite awhile I think I found it The trailer had to be lite, No wider then the Swing,2 wheels (Less side stress on the hitch),And no clanging noise at stop and go. Well I think I found it . 80 Pounds empty,28 inches wide, two wheels and it uses a pin coupler The type that is used on the Bushtec trailer. It is called a TAG-ALONG Made by D+P Enterprises I spoke to Dennis about the Hitch He said No problem Just needs a smaller hole drilled Anyone using this Trailer or know anything about D+P. Tony

Thanks Dennis wish I would have finished it sooner. But I did not know what to use for tie downs. Did not want to use the luggage rack.Too much stress on the lid.So I used boat anchors with 4- 1/4" bolts and 1.5" fender washers on each side The trailer sides are pretty thick. Now it is getting a little cold to ride both at the same time

When designing a project for use on the Silverwing, I always look at Boat hardware for Stainless hardware and goodies. I'm looking at using a good deal of boat hardware on my tent trailer design. Just makes good sence to me.

Projected weight on the trailer will be 150 to 160 lbs. and that's empty with tent, side walls, floor and spare tire.

I think that set up might be to much of a cantilever for a swing And if you live in the Northeast you know what the Roads are like One bad dip and the front wheel will lighten up to much That may be good for a heavier bike like a 800# Harley and someone 25 years younger than me
