| Does anyone know of a good luggage rack to put on top of the rear "wing"? Not one of those like the Givi that is for mounting a top box. I'd rather have one that looks like bars so you can bungie stuff to it. I found this one in the UK but can't seem to find anything similar available in the USA. http://www.moto24.de/webshop/product_info.php?info=p2399_Hepco---Becker--rear-rack-Honda-Silver-Wing-scooter.html |

| Have you checked Battlescooter.com?
Given the current exchange rate, that would be roughly $135 USD plus packaging & shipping.
I think that you could probably get something made for considerably less.
Check out a local welding shop or fabricator. Bring along the picture --or a measured drawing, if you are able to do one. |

| I used this one from Whitehorse Gear. It's called the FastRack, and runs about $60. Easy to install on the Silverwing. I used 3 bolts, 2 of which were the holes used for a Givi Rack. http://www.whitehorsegear.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=fastrack&x=17&y=9 |

| I made my own out of kitchen cabinet handles purchased on eBay for about US$5 each. I'm sure you could adapt the process so it sits on the back of the wing rather than a topbox. See some of the photos here for the end result on a topbox: http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/noddydog1/Silverwing# |

| In reference to thomphoto's post on the fastrack, I purchased one myself. If he or anybody else could help, I'm curious about the holes used to mount the rack to the spoiler. He referenced the existing mounting holes for the givi mount. I removed the spoiler from my SW and also removed the cover under the spoiler. Not including the holes threaded for the cover, are the unthreaded posts the ones he referenced? Could these be utilized with self tapping screws? If so, I think they will line up with the existing holes on the fast rack. I think the fastrack will work perfectly for my daily work commute- lunch box and water thermos. If these are not the ones used, I'll drill my own holes. Thanks Don |
