| I called scooter trap and was told they will no longer carry dr. pulley weights of any kind. Does anyone have any thoughts as to where I could buy 28 gram slider weights for my silverwing? |

| You can try calling Martin Racing: http://www.martinracingdealer.com/Home.jsp Or contact Union Material direct: http://www.unionmaterial.com/SRlist.htm scroll to bottom of page and you will see a "Contact us" I am not seeing a US distributor listed any longer...hmmm |

I am not seeing a US distributor listed any longer...hmmm Dr Pulley must be having some problems. If you notice they no longer list Martin Racing as a USA distributor ( http://www.unionmaterial.com/distributors.htm ) ... they used to be there. So now no USA distributor and no Scootertrap makes you wonder what is going on. Right now the only way may be to send email ( unionltd@ms14.hinet.net ) and pay your own shipping. |

| I hope they continue with this product since I really like the 28 grams and am going to re-install them this weekend. If anyone would like to buy my 21 gram sliders I would be willing to sell them. They only have about 2,000 miles on them and I'm sure they are in good shape. They really give good performance but I'm not sure I like the higher rpm's anymore. They run about the same rpm's as the J. costa, which I used for about 1 1/2 years, but I think I'm at the point of comfort and relaxing more now. But the performance is really good with the 21 gram sliders and the J. Costa. It is a totally different bike; power wise. |

Did you get a chance to intermix both the 21g and 28g Dr Pulley Sliders?? |

| Bill,
No, I haven't mixed them yet. I am going to do a 1,000 mile Saddle Sore ride in a couple of weeks and I'm going to put the 28grams sliders back in. I meant to mix them by now but I've just been too busy lately. I will say that I do really miss the smoothness and relaxed ride of the 28gram sliders though.

| Dr Pulley Sliders are still available. However, you'll have to contact Union Material (www.unionmaterial.com) directly to have them shipped (DHL air parcel) to you. Email address is: unionltd@ms14.hinet.net Slider Weights (SR2820) are $50/set + $12 shipping. You can tell them which weight you want. Roller Weights (SR2820) are $45/set+ $12 shipping. " " " " " " " " From what I understand, they are currently looking for a new US distributor after dropping their contract with Martin Racing due to some sort of legal / patent issue. IIRC the current price w/ shipping is only slightly higher than 2008 when I purchased my original set of Sliders from Scootertrap. Hope this helps Tim |

There always seems to be a constant demand for the Dr Pulley Slider Weights. I wonder if there would be enough demand for bulk buy from the members of the forum. |

Bill It seems to me that someone bringing in a 'bulk load' of anything from abroad would need some type of Import License as well as having to pay Duties & Taxes*. That would probably drive the price per unit up higher than ordering on an individual basis. That's assuming that the $45-$50/set prices remained the same. Tim *I kind of think that there might be some wiggle room on the Duties & Taxes thing if you order a set individually. |

| Actually - I have tremendous respect for the company that notifies potential users about a counterfeiting problem. There is no evidnce that Dr. Pulley has ever been a counterfeiter and so they deserve the benefit of a friendly nod. Not all Taiwanese companies (I don't know of any) are counterfeiters. However, there are several Chinese firms that are not above the practice, many in the middle east as well. Ever pass on a mix cd (or tape) - you're guilty. Happy to have been informed of this problem by a respected scooter after-market parts supplier. |

| Dale, Like yourself I also do not countenance counterfeiting but many times people are the innocent victims of it. Also, look how much money is spent by companies and individuals protecting their patents from legit companies (two examples - Black & Decker Workmate and James Dyson Turbo Vacuum). Again try Google if you are unfamiliar with these products. Don't know of any Taiwanese companies involved in counterfeiting - Google 'taiwan counterfeiting'. I did and got 109,000 hits. |

| I feel I left the door open. I don't doubt that there are Taiwanese companies that are involved in counterfeiting (I've not done business with any that I know of). I don't doubt that there are U.S. companies involved in counterfeiting (I've not done business with any that I know of). I don't doubt that there are British companies involved in counterfeiting (I've not done business with any that I know of). I think all peoples are capable of doing wrong things no matter what flag flies over the geographic area they hail from or claim. My point and I guess I'll state it a bit more emphatically this time: Happy to have been informed of this problem by a respected scooter after-market parts supplier no matter where in the world they are located. |
