I have cleaned the mesh filter every time, I have never found any thing in the mesh filter ... though it would be a safer to check. - tankyuong wrote:

| Actually, with the Silver Wing, friction modifiers are not a problem since it uses a "dry clutch" unlike all motorcycles and the 650 Suzuki Burgman which have "wet clutches". I have been using Mobil 1 full Synthetic 0W-30 for about 9,000 miles with no problem. "energy efficient" is no problem SWing, inspite what the manual says, it's just easier to say "no" in the manual, just in case when it was written. |

| Wingman,
A bit of nitpicking, "all motorcycles" is a bit over-inclusive. Two very old motorcycle firms have had dry clutches for a very long time -- BMW and MotoGuzzi. |

| I drained enough to get the screen out, nothing in it, filled the rest with 10-40w , for some reason I get 50mpg that I never got before. |
