| Hello. First post with a question. I noticed many had put on the Givi tb-19 passenger backrest but it seems this is no longer being offered. ![Crying or Very sad](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_cry.gif) So I was wondering about a available viable option instead. It seems the Givi tb82 looks similar and thought about modifieng to fit. Any wisdom would be appreciated. Lifes good! Cheers. |

| Hi sjg56k.
First thing that comes to mind is. Fit a backbox with a backrest pad, it'll keep them safe and awake. You don't want them falling asleep believe!
Just my pennies worth.
Be safe, be seen! |

| As bike is long out of production----maybe new givi rack can be found---then strong Givi box I have E-46 with about 500,000 miles on various bikes including 2 new Silverwing..... then givi did sell back pads to screw on these boxes----no too comfortable but keep pasenger from sliding off---- feeling is like getting slapped on back if you lean all the time----for proper riding, passenger should be hanging on to you...and you two riding like team to be really safe. |

| I've never understood the attraction of these so called passenger backrests, they're just a glorified butt stop for inexperienced passengers. A far better and more practical option is a top box, or a top box with one of those easily fitted screw on back pads like the ones available from Givi and Kappa.
I had one fitted to my Givi E52 and there's one fitted to the Givi E55 on my Forza, and Mrs M liked them when she used to ride with me.
From my own experience I don't like a passenger hanging on to me, that's what the grab rails are for. They should be aware that on braking and slowing down they'll momentarily be pushed forward with inertia, and try to avoid butting the back of the riders helmet with theirs.

| I appreciate the reply's so far but I don't really care for a top box myself. My wife just feels better with a little stop at her back. I am going to try one of the other Givi styles and maybe that will do it. Love the ride!! Cheers |
