All electrics gone on 2007 FJS600 A7 Silver Wing

A week ago I got on my bike and the bike started but I had no lights, horn, indicators or digital dashboard info.
I'm mechanically dyslexic, I have not got a clue.
I bought a box of fuses and a screwdriver that you have to earth and when you place it on the metal part at the top of the fuse a wee light comes on. The only fuse that i wasn't getting a light on the two dots on the top of the fuse is the ABS fuse.
The problem still remains, no electrics anywhere on the bike.

Can someone please offer any advice? It would be greatly appreciated

Sounds frustrating Jock. All I can suggest is replacing any fuse that fails your test light. There are two fuse boxes but there is an additional main fuse which is located with the starter solenoid. I no longer have a Swing but generally these are a red relay on the left side of the bike; I think you may need to remove the rear left body panel to get in there.

No it won't start with a blown main fuse.

Maybe the electrical connector on the back of the dashboard has come out? You'll need to pull off the garnish above the headlight to get in there easily.

I'm having the same problem on my 2002 SW. The electrics are working intermittently. Maybe a loose connection?. The scooter starts and runs. No dashboard lights headlights etc.

The only thing all those faults have in common is a bad earth, prob the one on the dashboard wiring socket or main headstock earth, as the Swing starts and runs so its not a main fuse or power issue.

I just had another thought about your problem, do the lights come on with just the ignition on, and go out after it's started ? if so it will be a bad return contact on your starter button.

The bike starts and runs perfectly. I have no lights, horn ,indicators, dashboard lights etc. Sometimes when riding over a bump everything works again for a while. Think something is loose somewhere.

I took off the rear panel to check the fuses, wiring and relays. The main relay wasn't seated correctly and when I pushed it in properly everything worked again. Thanks for your help!! Appreciate your time!!
