Weight Distribution Empty
PostSubject: Weight Distribution   Weight Distribution I_icon_minitimeMon Sep 06, 2021 9:25 am

While enduring a rather long and tedious journey in a rather posh minibus yesterday evening I started thinking about future rides on my yet-to-arrive new maxi.
This post is not intended to start arguments - life is too short - but I am genuinely interested in what people think and even look forward to the accurate mechanical physics if there are any.

This all refers to a maxiscooter:

I am aware that the centre of gravity changes/rises if the rider lifts his feet off the footboards.
It also changes if a bag is strapped on the pillion seat, assuming the bag is full or partially so.
I was wondering if some of the weight of the bag was transferred to the passenger foot-rests, the CofG would be lowered.
I pictured a rack with legs at the front to rest on the pegs and a fastening to the topbox rack at the back.

Any comments apart from telling me I'm crackers. Wink

I like crackers with Chicken Noodle Soup. Outside of that I can't comment too much anymore on weight distribution seeing as I had my SWing triked out and everything is pretty much in front of the rear wheels.
