| Hi there! My name is Tim and i'm from Utrecht, the Netherlands. I own a '73 Honda ST70g and before that a '11 Skyteam Dax 125, the Skyteam was fully built with 190cc engine and sandblasted, painted etc. But recently i decided to part it out and after that i bought something very different, an '02 FJS 600 Silver Wing.It has had one previous owner, a pretty good service history and 38k kilometers on the odometer. I bought it for my commuter rides to work and to be able to drive some longer distances. First though some maintenance and repairs have to be done, that is why i have bought it for a good price. What i have done so far: - lubed the Givi windshield bushings / fixed squeak- fixed sticky / intermittent turn signal switchTo do:- basic maintenance (spark plugs, oil filter, air filter, oil change etc) - extra maintenance (final drive oil change, coolant flush and change)- diagnose oil leak- change front brake pads Next thing on the list is an upgrade to J Costa variator and a new belt.I'll keep you guys updated |

| Welcome aboard Tim you have found a great place for help and friendly folks. While doing that list don't forget that case filter and a brake fluid change. Nice pictures of the bike. |

| Hello Tim. Welcome to the forum.
I haven’t had my morning coffee yet but if my psychic powers aren’t too hazy I’m gonna say that your oil leak is at the rubber grommet where the wires exit the stator cover on the right side. |

Hi Cosmic, you are right! It is coming from the right side neae the grommet where the wires exit, i have to look into that. Seems to be a common problem? Brake fluid has just been done, so only the case filter has to be added to the list! |

| There’s a lot of good info to be found via the Search function. There are several good posts on fixing that grommet drip. Here is one that I posted when I replaced a bad stator. Using those “all-thread” pieces as guide sleeves sure makes an awkward task a little smoother. https://www.silverwing600.com/t7593-bad-stator-part-2 |
