Skirt Paint Job

I recently saw this on another forum and sharing it here.  "Bob Young's" comment:  "New swing had some scratches on it , so I just two toned the lower skirt. Just went to Home Depot and bought a can of metallic silver paint."

Excellent, cost-effective solution that turned out to look professionally done. And good to look at.

What do you think?

My L+R skirt panels had badly repaired cracks and a equally poor paint job when I got it, they looked ok from aprox 5ft/2m, IAC after getting a few estimates to repair/color match, etc., $$$, found out I could get "New Oem" parts for $50 dollars cheaper than repair !!   , no brainer.

 But If I have a small mishap a can of Rust Oleum professional high performance enamel, gloss black will take care of it, excellent paint !!

I’ve heard of guys spraying the floor skirts with truck bed liner paint. A finish like that would certainly cover up any cracked-skirt fixes. On the negative side, it would also get dirtier quicker. Which might bring up the topic of adding a mud guard.

Didn't some years have silver skirts maybe not US. models though?

Answered my own question after searching.

Bed liner paint can be had in almost any color now hides those stone chips.

Good tip zrx212. Ill remember that.
