Just wanted to pass on a fantastic electronic contact cleaner I have been using for years and has saved me a lot of money and time.
This one is called Kimball Midwest Circ-Kleen 2. The name might have changed over the years but I am sure the quality must be the same.
I have used it on my turn signal switch, the headlight switch among other things. Safe on plastic, rubber, and paint.

Update: Circ-Kleen 2 can be ordered direct from Kimball-Midwest. Another option is CRC QD Electronic Cleaner spray. CRC seems more readily available —and found at Home Depot, Autozone, O’Rielly, WalMart, etc.

Both of these products contain hexane as their primary component.

Great tip John. Thanks.

Where’d you get this? It seems only available if you’ve got a registered account with Kimball-Midwest. If you’ve got a link to purchase individually please post it and I’ll edit your post to include it.

New up date on the contact spray.
While on Amazon I found a WD-40 contact cleaner.
I have not tried it, as I still have plenty from myvother can.
