| First topic message reminder :I felt the same way when I got my Concours 14 and dropped it (with cage), it was embarassing using all my strength to pick it up at a light. Dropped it a few more times trying to get the center stand up in the garage. I'm not sure if I should buy a donor Silverwing and try to swap the body pieces. I can't find any spare parts on eBay. My location is San Diego, CA 92154. I've ridden everything from a ZX14, ZX10R, ZX6R, Ninja 300, Z125. And this is my first time messing around with the Honda's combined braking system and it's a little annoying that the scooter unloads the clutch when going downhill when it actually should be downshifting and engine braking during any kind of descent. The brakes caused the tires to spill out on the gravel and this is my regular commute.

Himalaya and Iowa, now those are sure some opposing geographies. And like the term “jumbo shrimp”, isn’t it an oxymoron? |

| I always try to have an Unbiased opinion but it's hard. The snow is starting to stop here at last. What's an oxymoron?

| Kawasaki man, wouldn't it be better for your to go back to bikes that meet your requirements as the Silverwing doesn't seem to since you find so many bad things about it. It's a scooter not a zoom-splat (term for sports bikes).
Most of us aren't having many handling problems with the Silverwing but that's likely to be due to the more advanced age of most members here. Just about all of use have many miles on variousĀ motorcycles from small 50cc bikes to Hyabusa's. If you want more sporty riding a scooter isn't really the bike to ride. What brought you to buy the Silverwing that wasn't likely to meet your sport bike desires in the first place? |
