1st Silver Wing

I will be getting my first Silver Wing here pretty soon, so when I go to check the bike out guys what should I be looking for, and what kind of questions should I ask about the bike. I've owned Hondas in the past including the Honda Forza that was an awesome ride, but I've never owned the Silver Wing. Any and all advice would be thankful. /CC

This will largely depend on your budget. If you can afford a 2011-2013 you will get a black scooter BUT with ABS standard. Other years ABS is a crap shoot. 2008 and up units have O2 sensors so fuel economy is better.

If you get an older unit check the rubber (tires, belt etc). If you have to spend a couple of hundred on tires on a 2002 it may not be such a good deal...

Accessories are only worth anything IF you were going to purchase them in the first place. So don't pay a bunch more just because of extras... Good luck, I am sure others will chime in with helpful comments.

I agree with Glen, figure on replacing ALL fluids and do general maintenance on the drive system, check brake pads ect. Will their be a list of previous work done? Unless your one that can do all your own work I'd offer less on the price if there is no documentation of previous work.
