New Swing Rider

Hello everyone,
Just purchased a 2007 Swing with 25k kms on the clock. After riding dirt, sport, tour, cruisers for many years (and small scooters when overseas) I am having a blast! I'm in Kingston ON Canada and the weather so far this spring is **** so am impatiently waiting for it to stop raining and enjoy my new ride.

Welcome to the BEST SWing site on the net Crowen. There's lots of info here to help you with pretty much anything you want to do with your SWing. I've learned lots about my own 08 SWing just by being a member here.

Hey, Crowen, Welcome to the SWingers Club. I can see you are having the same type of Spring weather we are getting in the Maritimes. Wet snow forecast for today in NB. A few days of single digit temps to follow. I guess all that's left to do is to pull up a chair and chat or work on the bike.
You are all too familiar with 2-wheeled motorized things; probably have a lot more to offer us than vice versa. The SWing is a great machine, you'll like it , a lot !

Welcome and enjoy a great site. I'm from upstate NY and my friends are bitching about the wet weather also. Now living in oven Tucson,AZ with 100+ degrees coming shortly I'm dreading how much I'll be riding my Swing.

Yup, started working on the bike: Givi Airflow screen came in today. I'm 6'0" and get the wind buffeting. If I duck 2" it's gone so new screen should cure that. Started paint touch-ups from previous owner driveway tip over. Fixed one broken tab on lower panel that was causing a rattle at low RPM. And CLEANING. The PO was a really nice fellow who did excellent service and had all the records, but didn't wash it too often . All good fun that gives me something to do other than the wife's job jar!

Aldus, whereabouts in upstate NY? (which, to a New Yorker, can mean anything north of Westchester County up to Watertown over to Buffalo.

I'm from Rochester, now in South Florida.

Also curious, because I've spent a good amount of time in Scottsdale the past few years (mom and sister live there), do you have to change your air and belt filters a lot? There's a lot of natural beauty in the desert, but also a whole lot of dust.
