I know some of you guys probably have this back rest. Do any of you know if this rest will work with other boxes (other than Givi) mounted on the back of the swing. I'm getting awful tired of the car pillow and bunji cord that my wife has been using. It is a pain in the butt at best. We have to take it on and off every time we access something beneath the seat. It would be great to get this out of the way over winter so we can hit the ground running when spring arrives.

Have you tried the Givi E95S gel pad??
The Givi TB-19 was mounted underneath the Givi SR-19 mount.

So there would be a couple of concerns

1) The non-Givi mount should not be longer (forward) than the Givi SR-19 ... otherwise the non-Givi mount would have to be move further back to allow the SR-19 to mount with 6 holes versus the normal 4 holes.

2) Some of the early Givi boxes could not open without interference from the TB-19. Only some of the later designed Givi topboxes work properly. So non-Givi boxes could run into the same interference ... and unless someone tries and documents then you would have to experiment.

Another option may be to order DennisB arm rests and hang/position a good quality detachable foam pad to the arm rests. Then when the arm rest are lifted it could life the hanging foam pad .... just a thought.

Here is how I adapted mine for non-GIVI top box. It raises the mounting plate high enough so the topbox lid clears the backrest (using the standard wing hole pattern).

Thanks guys. I may go ahead and try the tb-19. If it's not right or to my liking, I can either re-mount my existing box to make it work or go to plan B. It'll probably be more up to the wife than me Givi Backrest Icon_wink . She's the one who has to lean back on it.
