| Changing the oil this morning I split the line in front of the oil filter. Something spewed out for a half a second and then stopped. Can someone tell me what this line is? |

It may be a crossover coolant line. I had one that I think someone had nicked while doing an oil change. It was an easy replacement with a short piece of hose from an auto parts store.

| Coolant line. Round silver part that filter tightens against is an oil cooler. Coolant flows through there to cool engine oil. |
