| I went to my local Honda/HD dealer, good guys, for some parts for the driven pulley rebuild. The parts guy searched thru the Canadian suppliers and he told me the best suggestion was for me to google the part numbers and get them mail ordered. It seems there is no coordinated network of Honda parts suppliers in Canada. They all sit in their silos and don't share inventory information, unlike HD. I ended up getting my parts from Partszilla.

| Partszilla works for a lot of people.
I could tell John about my attempt ( note singular ) to buy an oil filter from ? my? dealer, none in stock said parts boy, I said NO OIL FILTERS?? for a Goldwing, he said the mechanics buy them up as soon as they come it, he said, you might try to buy one from them, left, never went back for a free drink of water, that's why places like Partzilla stay in business. Oh and when I found one latter at another place they wanted 15 bucks for a 5 dollar filter, OEM of course. |

Actually Partzilla's price on the OEM Honda oil filter is $9.92. Plus shipping. So that $15, outrageous as it seems, is in the ballpark. That said, there are a few good quality alternative filters available over-the-counter, as well as quite a few cheesy budget filters too. However, if you are of the, change your oil every 3000 miles, John Grinsel mindset, then it might be a waste of money paying extra for a quality oil filter. My. 2¢ Tim |

| Does it fit a Honda Accord / CRV / HRT / GL 1500 / 1800? it will be fine for the S'W wing, Mother Honda is a smart lady use the same filter for everything, perhaps put a different number on it maybe change the length but they all work equally well. I remember when they went from the 1500 to the 1800, they actually made the filter shorter. |

used to have a Shadow ACE Tourer VT1100T2, a Valkyrie Interstate and now i have a Silverwing - all 3 of these honda bikes used the same oil filter - dont know what the 1800 Goldwing uses or the honda cages (cars) use. |

The 1500 and 1800 G' WING and Accord used the same filter, numbers may vary depending on the mfg label, the same works fine in the S'Wing. |

| My 1800 did use exact same oil filter as the Silver Wing, made stocking filters easy. Same 6607 filter fits most Honda cars and Nissan vehicles too. I use Fram XG6607 filter mostly. Fantastic filter, much better than the PH6017 for motorcycles but I have used that one as well just changed more often. Nearest Honda dealer to me is over 50 miles... |

| Think of the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ mother Honda saved using this idea. Our S'Wings? look at the brake reservoir, now look at the G'Wings, same part and no doubt other parts and bits are the same. |

| IIRC one of the previous generation GL1800's used the same front brake pads as our FSC600's. Except the GL used two sets on the front. Somehow I sussed that out by perusing the pages of an EBC Brake catalog.
That said, I still prefer OEM pads vs aftermarket pads. Some aftermarket pads purportedly stop better because of a metallic content but do eat brake rotors in the process.
Anyway, that my 2¢ |

Anyway, that my 2¢ True, one must remember to match pads with rotors, not all are interchangeable due to the wear factor. |

| I know that the Honda Valkyrie had the same front brake pads, I put a set on one of my SWs. Usually I use EBC organic pads, they work well and are easier on the rotors than sintered pads. |
