A couple of days ago, I went for a late afternoon ride in the Lakes. I've been over Hardknott and Wrynose Passes a few times on my motorbikes but took the Silverwing just to see how the transmission would cope. We approached via a new to me route by Dungeon Ghyll.
The bike performed well and it *is* easier than a manual tranny bike, although the bumps are felt a bit more. The Hyper Pro front springs and YSS rear shocks make a lot of difference. Anyhow, you can see the trip for yourselves on a video I've uploaded on YouTube:

It's a handlebar brace I happened to have lying around. They're used on trail bikes and, as the Silverwing's handlebars are so long, I thought it might reduce the shocks and vibration - the sort of "tuning fork" effect.
It's just an experiment and I can't say it made a significant difference. I'm going to leave it on for a while to see if I notice any change when I remove them. The handlebar covers would have to have the top ends cut off if I fit them permanently and a black and silver brace instead of blue. It may also be a handy place to hang a few accessories- like satnav?
