| With an eye toward making my SWing more distance-friendly, I got a gel seat topper this week. The original seat seems hard to me, and makes my ass a little sore after 30 minutes or so. I figured I'd start cheap...ish, and got this one: CONFORMAX "TOPPER EXCEL" ULTRA-FLEX Motorcycle Gel Seat Cushion- AIRMAX Small (15x12x6) (Can't post the amazon link because I'm a nooooob, but that's where I got it.) I got the small, because I was just guessing, and this is how it looks on the bike. Too small, right? All I know is it's MORE uncomfortable than not having one. My question is, do I get the bigger one ($100) or am I just not going to like it? The shape may be a little weird. I really don't want to spend $100 on just a piece of gel padding. The seat isn't THAT bad, but it does feel like I need a little something.

| Why throw away your money? Find someone with an Air Hawk cushion and try it out. I'm quite sure you will like it. I actually got it for road trips my wife and I do once a year in a car. I have used it on my Swing too when traveling around the island. |

| "Find someone with an Air Hawk cushion and try it out."
haha That's a good one.
I don't know anyone who rides at ALL, let alone someone who has that particular seat, or any seat that will fit my bike. (If I did, doesn't it seem a pretty obvious first step? "Hey, fellow rider who is within my arm's reach, let me try out that BRAND SPECIFIC seat pad of yours!")
I'm not throwing my money away, I'm trying this seat out — amazon does have returns, and it looks like I'll be returning this one. I'm not sure I even WANT a seat pad at all, since it will necessarily add some height, if only a little, and I'm not flat-footed on the ground as it is. I'm also concerned about pressure where my leg meets my ass, which could make my foot fall asleep. The question is, is a wider/larger pad going to make that less of a potential problem? More? None of the above?
And Pastor Ron, yes, I hear you. And what happens if I buy your seat and don't like it? Are you going to take it back? |

| Buy the Airhawn inflate it correctly, they do let you return it if your not satisfied. The secret is don;t inflate it so you noticed it. I bought the small cover and it does cover the S'Wing seat well. |

| I bought the medium Airhawk and it works well. The trick as mentioned is to use a SMALL amount of air in it. A friend suggested I get the Medium and it fits the seat very well. Pastor Ron, I would have jumped at yours if I did not already have one... |

Okay, Pastor Ron, you've got a deal. But I am going to be out of town all next week, so I will email you when I get back from blistering Texas. (As if it's not blistering in Michigan right now!) |

| FYI: I bought a used one (Airhawk) medium. I have used it once on the S/wing-great on the rear end. Once in the car seat-again great results. Wish I had gotten it two weeks sooner -350+ miles to Greenville,S.C. Main info is not to over inflate the air chamber. Thanks to PASTOR RON I'm a happier rider. |
