| Wonder if one is needed. Two new SilverWings, over 90,000 miles including trips to AK...no Radiator problems for me. Just ride and do not worry.
Want to make one? Maybe window screen zip tied on. SilverWing is now Obsolete/discontinued model, doubt if anybody is making new stuff for them. |

| I believe the best thing you can do is place a mud flap on back of front fender to keep dirt and rocks from kicking up. |

| Uncle Meldrew has a few posts on DIY mudflaps. Following his lead I fashioned one from a disposable ~10" plastic flower pot.
After thoroughly scrubbing the inside of the fender with steel wool, soap & water, then alcohol, I attached the mudflap with heavy duty, 30 lb, double sided, Gorilla Tape. Then sealed the edge seams with clear silicone.

| I used front mug flap from Burgman 400 I had. Worked. It is now on the back of my CB300F. |

| If you keep it on the road and out of the ditches what can fly up there to do damage. |

| I have a home made one on mine easy to do using some vented sheet alloy that is sold on ebay cut to shape and secured with small self tapping screws https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Aluminium-Sport-Mesh-Grill-Vent-Universal-Racing-Grille-Bumper-Spoilers-NEW/173364425097?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D49129%26meid%3Dbac67daef2c546f99b49ed9c121115a9%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D191555650175%26itm%3D173364425097&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 |

| I made my front mud flap from a piece of rubberized roofing material, used the double sided tape attachment method, worked like a charm. |

| Sounds like a good idea rocks get kick up from front tire. I was under there looking around for an oil leak and found a good sized rock in lowers. Radiator looks OK no dings. |

| I attached a piece of window screen material in front of the radiator with zip ties. There is just enough room behind there to gently coax the screen into place without removing anything. I also did the Meldrew mod with the flowerpot plastic attached to the back of the fender with doublesided tape.12,000 miles: still holding.
